Appendix D: Available Strider Functions

In Strider mode, the Atlas functions in Appendix B are also available as well as the following functions:

Altitude
announces the altitude of the user.
Explore Position Heading and Distance informs them of the Atlas cursors position in relation to their real-time GPS location.
GPS Status announces the status of the GPS receiver.
Number of Satellites being tracked announces the number of satellites the GPS receiver is currently tracking.
GPS Accuracy announces the accuracy of the GPS receiver
GPS Time announces the exact time that is synchronized with the satellites atomic clocks.
Latitude gives the Latitude of the user.
Longitude
gives the Longitude of the user.
Speed announces the instantaneous speed at which the user is travelling.

When the user is using the GPS Expert Window, they also have access to Satellite information:

Satellite x 's Number announces the actual number the DOD uses to keep track of a particular satellite.
Satellite x 's SNR announces the signal-to-noise ratio the GPS receiver is receiving from this satellite.
Satellite x 's Altitude announces the altitude above sea level where the satellite is in the sky.
Satellite x 's Azimuth announces the number of degrees from north where the satellite is located in the sky.

Where the number x can refer to any satellite from number 1 through number 6.
